At the 2014 Online Educa in Berlin (Europe’a largest conference on the use of technology in education and learning), Professor Mayer-Schönberger joined George Siemens to advocate in favor of data, with Ellen Wagner and Ignatia Inge deWaad taking the other side. Full of hyperbole and joking, but also serious argument the debate was great fun – and the data advocates won (somewhat expectedly) 70:30!
